Stage 2 of 4 · Build
Deliver every approved site to handover, in plain sight
Once a site is approved, Flow runs delivery from the same record: a board of every project by stage, a Gantt timeline that starts from a UK installation template, sign-off at each stage, and a tracker that holds the build to the approved CAPEX.

Why delivering a solar portfolio slips
Approval is the easy part. Then a dozen installs run at once, each with its own contractor, paperwork and invoices, and the picture of where things stand lives in people’s heads.

Every install tracked on the record it was approved on
Know what is landing this quarter, and what is at risk
The Lifecycle Board shows the whole pipeline by planned install date or handover date, so you can see what is due this year, next year and in each quarter, and how much of it is flagged amber or red.
- Pipeline by planned install year or handover date, with a quarterly breakdown
- Quick ranges for the next 30, 60 or 90 days and each half-year, or a custom range
- Red, Amber and Green tiles with project counts and kWp, each opening a list

Start every install from the same UK timeline
One click lays out a standard UK installation plan on the project, from site survey and DNO application through to the MCS certificate and customer handover. Your team then tracks progress against it on a Gantt timeline.
- Seed a default UK timeline of tasks and milestones, editable in Settings
- Add your own tasks, milestones and project goals
- Update progress from the Gantt bars; the project overview shows tasks done

Move a site forward with the right sign-off
Each lifecycle stage has an approver role and a target time in days. Every move from one stage to the next is recorded on the project with who made it, their note and how long the site spent in the stage before.
- Approver role and SLA in days for each stage, set in Settings
- Lifecycle Timeline on every project, with actor, note and time in stage
- Custom reports can pick out projects that have overrun their SLA

Hand over against the plan, not just on the day
When the build is done, the record shows how it went against what was approved: the completion date against the planned date, every task closed, and the invoiced cost against the estimate.
- Completion tile shows the handed-over date against the planned date
- The first expected completion date is kept as a baseline, so slippage is visible
- CAPEX vs Actual, with within 2% counted as on target

Handover starts the next stage, not a new spreadsheet
When a site is handed over, everything learned in Build stays on its record and is used from the first day of generation.
The site goes live in Monitoring
Meters, data sources and the performance view sit on the same project, ready for generation data.
The customer gets a portal
A read-only customer portal link is generated automatically when the project reaches monitoring status.
The real cost reaches the reports
Actual build cost and CAPEX per project feed the Lifecycle Board, custom reports and the board pack.

Project managers
One board for every install, one timeline per site, and a clear record of who moved what and when.
EPC contractors and installers
Assigned to each project, with access set by role, so they see the sites and tasks that are theirs.
Asset managers
Each project has an asset manager, and the board can be filtered and grouped by them.

Questions about the Build stage
Can we use our own installation timeline?
Yes. The default UK timeline is editable in Settings: rename tasks, change the start and end days, mark milestones and goals, and reorder. Any project can then be seeded from it.
Who can move a project to the next stage?
Each stage has an approver role, such as project manager, EPC contractor, asset manager or finance, and a target number of days. Every stage change is logged with who made it and their note.
How do we know if a build is going over budget?
Log the invoiced build cost in Financials and Flow shows the variance against the approved estimate. Within 2% counts as on target.
Can we see what is being installed this quarter?
Yes. The Lifecycle Board groups the pipeline by planned install year or handover date, with a quarterly breakdown and quick ranges for the next 30, 60 or 90 days.
Can installers work in Flow?
Yes. Each project has an EPC or installer assignment, and features can be switched on or off for each role.
